Jennifer N. Hoskins Jennifer N. Hoskins received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting, and a Masters Degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Jennifer has successfully completed the requirements for the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation in the state of Florida. She has been with Nearman, Maynard, Vallez, CPAs & Consultants, P.A. since she received her Masters Degree in 1994.

As an Partner, Jennifer's responsibilities include planning and coordinating various projects as well as all phases of audit engagements. During the fieldwork, she follows the progress of the engagement, resolving accounting and auditing problems as they arise and discussing any specific concerns of the Supervisory Committee. Jennifer also presents the audit results to the Supervisory Committee, Management, and Board of Directors at our exit briefing. When the fieldwork is completed, Jennifer supervises the preparation of the financial statements and reports on operations and reviews the audit workpapers. She is also responsible for ensuring the audit teams comply with professional and regulatory announcements, including the firm’s quality control standards.

Jennifer has successfully completed the training and examination on security controls over electronic fund transfer networks and is a Certified TG-3 Auditor (CTGA). This certification on interchange network security is required by STAR, PULSE, and NYCE for auditor qualification to complete the PIN security compliance (TG-3) review. Jennifer also provides consulting services to our clients, such as internal auditing, NACHA compliance audits, assurance services, and other special work as required.

Jennifer is also the firm's network administrator and is a member of the firm's Technology Committee. The primary objective of the Technology Committee is to maintain and enhance the technology used by the firm, keeping up-to-date with changes in the industry. The Committee also looks for innovative solutions using technology to provide better service to our clients.

Jennifer conducts training sessions for her peers on new accounting pronouncements. In addition, she has been a speaker at local continuing professional education seminars and at Credit Union conferences and workshops.
