Steve is well versed in credit union requirements, mergers, liquidations, and other accounting and auditing matters. He has performed numerous audits, both federal and state chartered. Sometimes our clients request additional management consulting services to help meet their needs. Steve leads our team that provides our clients with consulting services such as strategic planning, commercial loan reviews, operational efficiency reviews, interim CFO or CEO services, and other special services as required.

Mr. Nearman has conducted Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programs for Nearman, Maynard, Vallez, CPAs and Consultants, P.A., as well as programs for state credit union leagues, local credit union chapters, and individual credit unions. He conducts workshops and lectures relating to the duties and responsibilities of the Supervisory and Audit Committees at various local and regional conferences and annual conventions sponsored by the Florida Credit Union League, National Association of Federal Credit Unions, and others. Steve also conducts sessions on auditing for fraud, internal controls, computer security, the verification process, and has had articles published in both national and regional magazines and newspapers. Steve also served as the Conference Director for the Credit Union Conference conducted by our firm in the past. He conducted this conference for more than 20 years.
