Marco Lavalle joined Nearman, Maynard, Vallez, CPAs, P.A., in January 2011 and currently holds the position of Audit Supervisor. Marco graduated from ESIC: Business & Marketing School in Madrid, Spain and Florida International University in Miami, Florida earning an International MBA and a Masters in International Business; respectively, all part of a Dual Degree program completed April 2010. Marco also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Florida International University. In addition, Marco has earned an Accounting certificate from the University of California Los Angeles having completed the program in September 2015.
Marco conducts numerous audits both federal and state-chartered. His clients range in asset size from approximately $10 million to more than $6 billion. Some of Marco’s responsibilities as an Audit Supervisor include planning the audit from start to completion, participating in the audit fieldwork, supervising and training staff, and reviewing work papers. He also performs client briefings of audit results and financial trend analyses. After fieldwork is completed, Marco prepares the financial statements and management reports detailing the audit results and our recommendations. Marco also provides consulting services to our clients, such as internal auditing, NACHA compliance audits, assurance services, and other special work as required.
